About

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole is a distinguished jurist, academic, and policy reformer leading Nigeria’s trade and investment agenda. Appointed as Minister of Trade and Investment in 2024, she spearheads the federal government’s mission to revitalize investor confidence and accelerate economic growth through strategic repositioning and ease of doing business reforms. She previously served as the Executive Secretary of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), where she oversaw over 200 verifiable reforms aimed at removing bureaucratic constraints for entrepreneurs.

An alumna of the University of Lagos with an LL.B, she holds an LL.M from the University of Cambridge and both a Master’s (JSM) and Doctorate (JSD) in International Trade and Development from Stanford Law School. She is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School and a former board member of Ecobank Nigeria. Her leadership is central to advancing the AfCFTA agenda and fostering a more competitive business climate across the nation.
