About

Mohammed Idris is a veteran media entrepreneur and strategic communications expert leading Nigeria’s national narrative and branding initiatives. As the Minister of Information and National Orientation, he is responsible for managing the country’s public image and driving the "National Values Charter." Before his ministerial appointment, he founded Bifocal Communications and served as the Chairman of Kings Broadcasting Limited, owners of Blueprint Newspaper, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the Nigerian media landscape.

He holds a B.A. in English from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and an M.A. in English from Bayero University, Kano. An alumnus of several leadership programs and a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Idris is also the former Chairman of the NIPR, Kaduna Chapter. His expertise in strategic communication and public relations continues to foster transparency and bridge the gap between the government and the citizenry.
