About

Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem is a strategic leader and champion of enterprise development, currently overseeing the commercial and investment interests of Africa’s largest subnational economy. In her role as Commissioner, she drives the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda of the Lagos State Government, focusing on infrastructure readiness, digital trade platforms, and strengthening the SME ecosystem. She has been instrumental in organizing the Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit and launching the LASMECO program, which provides significant access to finance for local cooperatives.

An alumna of London Guildhall University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. She furthered her education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Open University Business School, UK. Mrs. Ambrose-Medebem has also completed several high-level professional leadership programs, including the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Lagos Business School and the Women Transforming Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She is a certified Financial Management Consultant with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK.
