About

Charles Odii is a dedicated advocate for small businesses and a leading voice in Nigeria’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. As the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), he leads the "Grow Nigerian" initiative to empower MSMEs through access to finance and market opportunities. Before joining the public sector, he founded SME100 Africa, a social enterprise that stimulated youth entrepreneurship across the continent.

He holds a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems from Covenant University and an M.Sc. in Media and Communication from the Pan-Atlantic University. An alumnus of the Lagos Business School, Odii has been recognized globally for his impact on economic development and job creation. His expertise in brand management and business advisory continues to drive the growth and formalization of small businesses in Nigeria.
